Sorry- a word or a feeling?

You: (Sneeze)Oops! Sorry.  You: (Step on somebody's foot) I'm sorry.  You: (mourning over someone's demise) Oh Dear, I'm so sorry.  You: (someone broke up) Holy Shit, I'm sorry, bro.  You: (bump into somebody) Sorry.  These are well, just a few instances from our daily routine, when we utter the word sorry. Mind you, the word 'sorry'.  Things that happen accidentally or by mistake, where we have no intention of hurting the other person, we say sorry as a reflex. But what about the moments where we knowingly or unknowingly hurt the other person's sentiments, break each other's hearts, abuse our dear ones, disrespect our families. What about those? Do we say sorry or feel sorry as spontaneously? Even when we do say it, do we feel it?  It's a sad thing in today's world that it's easier to say sorry than feel sorry. It takes days and months, or even years for the realisation to set in, for the birth of guilt. At times, it takes a lifetime to

Hope isn't just a word, unless it is shattered.

They say hope can lead to miracles, turn the impossible into possible but can it make the dead man alive? They say hope can be your umbrella in the downpour, they say hope can fix the leaks. But can it fix the leaks in your heart, the tears that kiss your cheeks?  They say hope can bring merry, they say hope can make you rich. But can it bring you joy?  They say hope fulfils desires, they say hope can win against hope. But can you hope against the despondence?  They say hope isn't just a word, really?  They say its more than a word.  Of course, it's a way of life.  Unless. Unless it is shattered.

What's in a Date?

Okay so today we celebrate the last sequential date in this century, 11-12-13.  It's the last date with consecutive numbers to appear in the 21st century, but why the hype?  Did they forget that every damn date in this century will never repeat itself?  Or is this just another money-minting criteria adopted by hotels, hospitals, bars, wedding planners and pandit ji's to brainwash people's minds and inform them about the importance of this one date?  Why the craze to tie the knot on this so called 'auspicious' date? Why the craze to deliver babies on this day? Are you going to tell me that its a 'lucky' day and will make your marriage last a year more than mine? Or your baby will be born an actor or IITian? Or probably that the food at restaurants will be better today?  Hell, no. If love doesn't see person or time, why does it see dates? Ladies, If babies born on other dates can become Shahrukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar, why the fuss about paining your bo

Stay

Stay  Unusual it may seem  Lights turn out Cars slow down  Rivers run dry Clouds form clusters Heartbeat fades  Tears leave eyes Trust breaks apart Souls divide Hands shiver cold Body stands frozen  Knees kiss ground Memories relived His touch fades Black out sets in  I ask him to stay  Stay forever But he leaves  He left.  Left.

Life goes on

Isn't it strange how people you've known only few days are better friends than people you've known for months?  How people you've shared your moments with become less important than people you've shared minutes with.  Isn't it strange how one's friends change?  It is indeed very strange how somebody I thought would be my companion for life is now sharing it with someone I thought they won't.  Life changes people change. Friends change and priorities change.  Well, no matter who comes and who stays, life goes on.  With love or hate, it goes on. Goes on.

Second chances

It's hard to understand what went wrong  Harder to understand why  Life chose you from the entire throng  To prove faith was a lie  For those who hold on to hope Maybe there is a way  To live life with a scope It gives you a second day  But those who know not  The serenity of waiting  Fail the life which offers a lot   When you start contemplating  Second chances can be a miss  Only if you decide to leave  Whatever you derive from bliss That is the crop you reap For good or bad in the universe  Have that one more moment  Sit calm and drag to reverse  No matter you cry or lament.  Second chances favour the lucky  Only if I could have one ounce of luck!

Bring back what once was mine

If love could bring you back, I'd love you eternally If smiles could bring you back, I'd laugh for you  If tears could bring you back, I'd cry a river If flowers could bring you back, I'd grow a garden  If a kiss could bring you back, I'd kiss your lips forever  If a hug could bring you back, I'd hold you the longest  If money could bring you back, I'd spend all on you  If she could bring you back, I'd beg her to  But only if my love could bring you back, I promise to love you eternally.

Of love and lost

There's something about you What, I have no clue That keeps me in and out Of love and doubt Sufferings I endured with Let all that be just a myth Pray In happiness and sorrow Be my love for every tomorrow Deep inside glows a fire Of inexpressible erotic desire Fulfilment I long Amidst air of romantic song Let our bodies hum  And beat as a drum Dusk and dawn  In arms I want Never apart from me Forever in your heart, a plea.

Two bodies, One soul

She had the eyes  But he was her vision  She had the mouth  But he was her prayer She had the ears But he was all she could hear She had the voice  But he was her words She had the mind  But he ruled her thoughts She had the heart  But he was the beat  She lived her life But he was her lifeline.
